Three new medical centers to open in Virginia in 2019

Residents of Northern Virginia will soon have more options for accessing state-of-the-art medical facilities. To meet the demands for its award-winning health care and health coverage, Kaiser Permanente will open three medical centers in the region.

With convenient sites in Alexandria, Stafford, and Haymarket, the new facilities will support the area’s growing Kaiser Permanente membership and make it easy for members to take care of a wide range of health care needs under one roof, without having to travel to multiple locations.

Medical center in Alexandria

The Alexandria Medical Center will be located at the Exchange in the Potomac Yard area of Alexandria, Va. The facility will offer primary care, along with ob-gyn, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as imaging, laboratory, optometry, and pharmacy services. The 40,000 square-foot facility is scheduled to open in spring 2019 in a building that will also serve as the new headquarters for the National Industries for the Blind.

Medical center in Stafford

Located on the Stafford Hospital campus in Stafford, Va., the Kaiser Permanente medical center in Stafford will provide primary care and rotating specialty care. Members will also be able to receive mental health and wellness, optometry, Urgent Care, pharmacy, physical therapy, laboratory and imaging services on site. The 38,375 square-foot facility is scheduled to open in summer 2019.

Medical center in Haymarket

The medical center in Haymarket will be accessibly situated near I-66 in Prince William County, Va. The facility will offer primary care, ob-gyn, laboratory, pharmacy, optometry, and mental health and wellness services. The center will also provide imaging services, such as general radiology. The 36,423 square-foot facility will open in late 2019.

Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States also received the highest possible rating of 5 out of 5 stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for quality and service. This is the sixth year in a row the organization has received 5 out of 5 stars.
