As a part of delivering seamless care for your health, starting in March 2024, we’re introducing Kaiser Permanente Online Affiliate, a convenient, paper-free portal for out-of-network doctors managing member lab work in our Mid-Atlantic region.
Unlike any service of its kind, Kaiser Permanente Online Affiliate gives these doctors access to your Kaiser Permanente digital health and claim records. With this access, your out-of-network doctor can also place your lab orders and track your lab results.
Does your non–Kaiser Permanente doctor place paper lab orders?
If your doctor places paper lab orders, your doctor must register to use Kaiser Permanente Online Affiliate starting in March. Once registration is complete, the doctor can place electronic orders seamlessly into Kaiser Permanente’s digital health record on your behalf. Your orders will be available in our system when you arrive for your lab collection, and your lab results will also be available electronically for your doctor’s review.
External providers can get started with Kaiser Permanente Online Affiliate in 3 simple steps:
- Go to providers.kaiserpermanente.org to access the Community Provider Portal.
- Under Quick Links, select Online Affiliate Registration.
- Follow the steps under Online Affiliate Registration and Sign-On at the bottom of the page.
While signing up for Kaiser Permanente Online Affiliate involves only a few steps, activating an account may take some time as several approvals and communication must happen behind the scenes. We appreciate your patience with this process!
