To meet the unique health needs of our LGBTQ+ community, Kaiser Permanente offers Pride Medical at Capitol Hill, a safe and welcoming source of quality, judgment-free care.
Care for whole health and well-being
As part of the region’s leading health system,1 Pride Medical offers care in many areas important to individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, including primary and preventive care and behavioral health services. Pride Medical also provides treatment for STI and co-infections, HIV, PrEP, immunizations, and cancer screenings. Gender affirming services for transgender individuals including discussions of gender identity, hormone therapy, and gender-affirming procedures are also offered at Pride Medical.
At Pride Medical, members also have access to targeted care in over 50 specialties and subspecialties ranging from cardiology to dermatology to neurology. Also offered are pharmacy, lab, gynecological, and case management services.

For greater control of their health and their time, members who use Pride Medical services also have multiple options to get health care whether at home, at work, or on the go. Kaiser Permanente offers 24/7 care access—members can get test results, email their doctor, see a doctor by video,2 make appointments, refill prescriptions, and more.
Comprehensive and unique care from highly skilled doctors
Physicians at Pride Medical are board-certified members of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. They’re also part of the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group—1,700+ physicians who work together to provide care for the region’s members. In addition, specialized training helps Pride Medical physicians provide our members who identify as LGBTQ+ with personalized care. Pride Medical physicians seek to engage in open and honest doctor-patient communication that helps them assess and address members health needs.
Members can choose a Pride Medical doctor as their primary care physician or ob-gyn, or they can use specific Pride Medical services and make appointments for specific issues.
