Coming in summer 2022: 2 new Kaiser Permanente premier hospitals

Apr 01, 2022

Members who need hospital care in the Mid-Atlantic region can choose their preference from one of Kaiser Permanente’s premier hospitals, where Permanente physicians have privileges to treat members. We’ve teamed with these facilities to support and supplement care for our members because of their quality of care, comfortable environment, and the level of services they provide. This summer, our members will have two new premier hospital options:

Capital Region Medical Center. Located in Largo, Maryland, the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center will be added to the premier hospitals list on July 12. The facility offers Prince George’s County its second Kaiser Permanente premier hospital, and our internal medicine physicians at the center will provide members with hospital-based medical care.

St. Joseph Medical Center. On September 1, the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland, will also join our list of premier hospitals. At this center, Kaiser Permanente members will have access to care from Permanente physicians in several specialties, including labor and delivery, cardiology, neurology, urology, and orthopedics.

24/7 care from Permanente physicians

With the addition of Capital Region Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Medical Center as new premier hospital options, members will have even more access to award-winning2 care provided by Mid-Atlantic Permanente physicians, who are part of a medical group that includes over 1,700 physicians in more than 50 medical specialties.

At all premier hospitals, care for members is guided around the clock by Kaiser Permanente care teams. Our doctors and specialists are onsite 24/7, coordinating with members’ primary care physicians and working together with hospital staff.
